Jets Facilities
Home of the Johnstown Jets

The Johnstown Jets Amateur Hockey Development Program will utilize the North Central Recreation Center as its base of operations during the fall and winter months. Opened in 2004, NCRC is a single surface ice rink facility complete with spacious locker rooms and a hockey training center that will be available to Jets’ players for off-ice workouts.
The hockey training center will be a big advantage for the program and something rarely seen in Western Pa. ice rink facilities outside the Pittsburgh area. The center will feature equipment for hockey specific off-ice training and feature the Powerskater Dryland Skating System and the Wonder Puck Reflex Trainer. The workout center will be used for team training sessions and will be available to members of the team to workout on their own schedules.

Planet Ice serves as the summer home of the Johnstown Jets Summer Development Program. Located in Richland Township, Planet Ice houses a single sheet ice rink facility as well as its expansive setting in the Johnstown Business Park creating ideal facilities for off-ice training sessions and video sessions.
Planet Ice was recently acquired by local businessmen Lou Mihalko and Jim Vasilko and look to make the facility one of the best and most successful ice rink facilities in Western Pennsylvania.
