The following are some of the charitable efforts that Jets’ players, coaches and families have contributed to recently….
JETS AND RED DEVILS RAISE MONEY TO HELP BRENT SWALTEK WIN THE BATTLE AGAINST CANCER!!
On Sunday evening, the Johnstown Jets Midget U18 AA Team and Central Cambria Red Devils Varsity Team came together for more than just a hockey game. They came together to help someone win the battle against cancer. The Jets and Red Devils played an exhibition game in front of a packed house at the North Central Recreation Center with all of the proceeds going to help 8 year old Brent Swaltek of Windber. Brent is a member of the Johnstown Warriors Mite 2 team that was recently diagnosed with Lukemia and is undergoing an aggressive treatment regiment. Thanks to Tim Landis from SMG/Cambria County War Memorial, Vince Pavic and Mike Wirick, all game expenditures were donated for the evening allowing 100 percent of revenue brought in by the game to go directly to Brent for his treatment.
