The Johnstown Jets Amateur Hockey Development Program was founded in the spring of 2008 to keep our youth active through the creation of a summer hockey development program for the elite hockey players of our region. The program exposed our players to top notch hockey competition in areas such as Michigan, Canada, and Virginia Beach. Due to the overwhelming success of the three teams we have fielded during the spring and summer months, the Johnstown Jets program will now be expanding to field teams in the Pittsburgh Amateur Hockey League throughout the regular season which runs from October through March. For the upcoming season, the Jets will field an Under 18 team comprised of some of the top players from all of the local high schools which will have the opportunity to compete against the top competition in Western Pennsylvania.

Since our program has decided to expand, the Jets will now offer hockey opportunities on a year round basis for aspiring players. At the same time, the Jets program benefits not only our youth, but as well as local businesses in the community. This year, we will be hosting teams from all over Western Pennsylvania and beyond who will come to the Johnstown and Ebensburg communities to compete against our teams. The Jets program can help expose your business to our families, visiting teams and their families as well as provide exposure to all who walk through the doors of our home rink for all of the other events held there.
